QUOTE
"Thanks to the email-leakage from MediaDefender-Defenders we now have proof of the things we've been suspecting for a long time; the big record and movie labels are paying professional hackers, saboteurs and ddosers to destroy our trackers.

While browsing through the email we identified the companies that are also active in Sweden and we have tonight reported these incidents to the police. The charges are infrastructural sabotage, denial of service attacks, hacking and spamming, all of these on a commercial level."

This is why we use firewalls, just remember to get one that tracks incoming communications from all sources and into any port.

also the phrase "You fuck with me, and I'll fuck you back good."
comes to mind.

I very glad that someone has gotten down to the bottom of how these fucks, including the riaa are getting this information. breaking the the law to catch someone downloading music, is breaking the law too, and hacking last time i checked is a punishable offense. I hope this breaks out big time and they start nailing these bastards to the wall back here in the states as well.

For american companies and artists, here's a thought. Put out quality products that people want to buy. I don't even watch/listen to 90% of the new movies and cds that come out because most of it is just crap with one part thats ok or good that you just expect everyone to want to pay top dollar for. If its ok, I get it used, otherwise fuck it. I personally havent heard a song or seen a movie in the past 10 years that was worth paying 20 bucks for. Lord of the Rings was the closest, but I still waited until someone pawned it off and got the ext. set for 20 bucks.

I personally support American companies for everything I can because I want to see my community and country grow and be successful , but lately I go elsewhere for my entertainment (movies and music) because apparently our companies think pushing re-hashed shit on us is an ok thing to do.
I do enjoy a few homegrown artists and film-makers, but producers from france and austrailia are writing new stories, and pushing envelopes with style in movies.
uk/german/french/italian/japanese musicians are constantly pushing the edge and coming up with fresh new sounds without worrying about how many record sales this song will make for the rest of half ass shit they throw on an album.

Well enough of my ranting, I guess the point I am trying to make is, don't expect people to want to buy your shitty product, just because you think its worth money. If you waste 10 million making a shitty movie that people don't want, or 1 million promoting an album with 2 good tracks on it and want me to pay for 16 crappy ones. Guess what your loss. Time to learn a new way of business, make quality movies/albums, or just sell them in parts so people don't have to buy your crap, with the stuff they like.

My 2 cents.
